For my Senior capstone project, I designed an app inspired by Pavlov’s classical conditioning experiment. PavLove uses the power of positive reinforcement to create a sense of anticipation and excitement when a user receives a notification. Just like Pavlov’s dogs learned to associate the sound of a bell with the arrival of food, PavLove users learn to associate the app’s notification with the arrival of a positive message from someone they care about.

Whether it’s a thank-you note, a message of encouragement, or just a silly inside joke, PavLove helps users stay connected to, even when they can’t be together in person.

By taking just a few seconds to send a message through PavLove, users can make someone’s day and show support to the loved ones.

Receiving support and encouragement can be a powerful motivator in achieving our goals and overcoming obstacles. It can provide us with the necessary boost of confidence and remind us that we have companions in our journey. It can also inspire us to pay it forward and uplift others in return. I believe that the power of support and encouragement is limitless and can create a ripple effect of positivity in our lives and communities.
